One-to-one link exchanges. A one-to-one link exchange or two-way exchange takes place when site owners directly exchange links. This method of exchange is suggested between sites with complimentary content. Although not a prerequisite, it is recommended.

Three-way link exchanges. A three-way link exchange takes place when a Webmaster controls two sites, (A) and (B). Site (A), has a Google page rank (PR) of PR4. Site (B) has a PR2. Your web site (C), is rated a PR3. Site (A) directly links to site ©) while site ©) links to a lesser site (B), therefore, creating a three-way link exchange. This method of exchange is a very effective means of increasing website page rank.

Promotional widget sponsorship. Promotional widget sponsorship utilizes embedding an affiliate's RSS feed widget on your website to promote the widget owners content. Reciprocating, the widget owner recognizes your site as a honorable sponsor of their mission.
