NCDOT request for Application to Replace Trotman Bridge

GATES COUNTY NEWS -- North Carolina Department of Environmental and Natural Resources (NCDENR) has given legal notice as required by NCGS 113A-119(b), that application for a development permit in an Areas of Environmental Concern (AEC) as designated under the Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA) has been received on October 10, 2009. The requested permit submitted by North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) proposes to replace an existing Bridge #32 on SR 1100 over Trotman Creek in Gates County.

A copy of the entire application can be reviewed at the office of Division of Coastal Management located at 1367 US 17 South, Elizabeth City, NC. Telephone 252-264-3901 during normal working hours. Comments upon this proposed application can be mailed prior to November 10, 2009, to:

All comments will be considered before NCDENR decision as to whether to grant a permit to NCDOT conduct this proposed construction. Furthermore, project modification may occur based on review and comments by the public, state and federal agencies. Notice of this permit's decision will be provided upon written request.
