Senator Ed Jones - No endorsement for individual candidates

GATES COUNTY NEWS -- Senator Ed Jones noted today that he will not be endorsing any candidates in the May 2010 primary election, saying:

"I understand that this upcoming election is important to the people of Gates County and that is why I think it is up to the voters to decide who is the best candidate to represent them. That is why I will not be publicly endorsing any individual candidates."

Jones continued:

"I have appreciated the support I have received over the years and am looking forward to continuing to work hard on behalf of the people of Gates County and our district if the voters choose to re-elect me. We have a lot of hard times ahead of us and I am focused on making sure our working families are able to make ends meet."

Senator Ed Jones has served the people of Gates County for two terms and is up for re-election in the May Primary.
