Gates County Republicans loss is a historic victory

November 4, 2010

GATES COUNTY NEWS -- Gates County Republicans may have lost the 2010 election for county seats, the reality is this election was a major victory for Gates County Republicans and conservatives. For the first time in more than a decade, Gates County Republicans campaigned and voted for "Republican candidates" running for local government office.

On November 2, 2010, the following candidates made Gates County history. Jim Miller (Republican) campaigned for Gates County Commissioner for district 1 James Gary Ingram (Republican) campaigned for Gates County Sheriff

These two men proudly faced the opposition as "Republicans," regardless of the number of registered Democrat voters residing in Gates County. That is what political campaigns are about, facing those that oppose your opinion and political views, in other words, your ideology.

Therefore, these two men and their constituents single-handedly returned Gates County to an American society. That is a society where its people can choose alternative political representation.

Lastly, conservatives have hidden in this county long enough, it is time to come together and voice your opinion loudly without fear of prejudice and ridicule.
